How Roadmark works and what we expect from each other
- Roadmark helps you find and book instructors, and lessons are arranged with them directly.
- Use accurate account details and keep your login secure.
- Payment and cancellation terms are set by your instructor, so check their policy before booking.
- Instructors are responsible for safe, professional teaching and required registration and insurance.
- Learners need a valid provisional licence and should arrive on time and follow guidance.
- Referral discounts are instructor-funded, have time limits, and can be removed for misuse.

1. Introduction
Welcome to Roadmark. By using our platform, you agree to these terms and conditions. Roadmark connects learner drivers with driving instructors for lesson bookings.
2. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
3. Bookings
Lesson bookings are made directly between learners and instructors. Roadmark facilitates this connection but is not a party to the agreement between you and your instructor.
4. Payments
Payment terms are agreed between learners and instructors. Instructors may accept cash or bank transfer.
5. Cancellations
Cancellation policies vary by instructor. Generally, cancellations within 24 hours of a lesson may incur charges. Check your instructor's specific policy.
6. Instructor Responsibilities
Instructors are responsible for maintaining valid DVSA registration, appropriate insurance, and providing safe, professional instruction.
7. Learner Responsibilities
Learners must hold a valid provisional driving licence, arrive on time for lessons, and follow their instructor's guidance during lessons.
8. Referral Programme
Roadmark offers a referral programme that allows students to earn discounts by referring friends to their instructor. The following terms apply:
- Instructor-funded: Referral discounts (£5 per successful referral) are funded by the instructor, not by Roadmark. Instructors choose whether to participate in the referral programme.
- Discount value: £5 off one lesson for both the referrer and the referred friend.
- Instructor-specific: Referral discounts are only valid for lessons with the specific instructor through whom the referral was made.
- Eligibility: The referred friend must be a new student who has never had a lesson with that instructor. Discount applies after their first paid lesson is completed.
- Expiry: Referral discount tokens expire 60 days from when they are earned.
- One-time use: Each referral generates one £5 discount for each party, which can only be used once.
- Cancellation: If a referred student cancels their first lesson or no-shows, the referral is invalidated and no discount is issued.
- Programme changes: Instructors may disable their referral programme at any time. Existing earned discounts will remain valid for 30 days after disablement.
- Fraud prevention: Roadmark monitors for fraudulent referral activity. Suspected abuse may result in discounts being withheld and accounts being suspended.
